A series of four highly-insightful modules of crisis management online course, introduce the core specifics of crisis management from a contemporary corporate perspective. Candidates explore the disciplines and industry insights the working professional requires, including key strategies for crisis planning, prevention, response and recovery. Along with an overview of various types of crises at different levels, course content covers business continuity, crises team establishment and the key elements of the crisis audit.
Module 1 â What is Crisis Management?
The first course module sets out to enhance candidatesâ understanding of exactly what crisis management is, along with how a crisis is defined from a contemporary corporate perspective. Additional subtopics introduced include the creation and value of crisis management teams, why crisis management in general matters and effective crisis management training techniques/strategies.
Module 2 â Conducting the Crisis Audit
Course Module 2 dissects the professional crisis audit, guiding candidates through each key stage and element in audit planning/implementation. Key questions to ask and investigate during the audit are explored and discussed, along with the online audit, the 360-degree audit and a breakdown of the risk matrix.
Module 3 â Developing a Response Process
The following course module focuses on developing a response process, to be implemented in event of any given crisis. Subtopics introduced include incident investigation strategies, the importance/value of expert consultations, professional crisis documentation and prioritization of issues/challenges.
Module 4 â Establishing an Emergency Operations Centre
Closing the course, Module 4 introduces the concept of establishing an emergency operations centre for the purposes of business continuity, both during and following an emergency situation. The professional crisis plan is also broken down and investigated in further detail.
