PROJECT CYCLE MANAGEMENT
INTRODUCTIONProject Cycle Management PCM is a management tool based on the Log-frame approach. It is used in project development to enable provision of structures that ensure Stakeholders are consulted and relevant information is available in order to enhance informed decision making in crucial stages of a project. The cycle is made up of six components including;
• Programming
• Identification
• Formulation
• Financing
• Implementation
• Evaluation
This course will provide the participants with skills in:
- Project design using Logical Framework,
- Result-based management concepts and
- Use of PCM as project structuring tool.
Training Objectives
By the end of the Workshop, Participants will:
• Understand the role of PCM and key activities to be undertaken at each stage
• Appreciate the principles of project cycle management and the Logical Framework Approach
• Be able to critically review the role of financing proposals
• Assess the potential relevance, feasibility and sustainability for a case study financing
• Be able to identify how to improve quality
• Understand the role of Logframe in project monitoring & evaluation
• Understand how to use the LFA to assess a project document and identify information needs for a feasibility study

This workshop is meant for project planners and managers from Governments, Donor Agencies, Consultants, NGOs’ Project Managers and others involved in the implementation of Development Projects.

Course Fee
Kenyan residents: Kshs 100,000/= International: USD 2,000/=
The course fee covers the course tuition, training materials, two short break refreshments, lunch, and study visits.
All participants will additionally cater for their, travel expenses, visa application, insurance, and other personal expenses. Accommodation will be arranged on request.
